The Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST) in cooperation with Science Mathematics and Technology Teacher Association of Thailand (SMTAT) hosted the International Science, Mathematics and Technology Education Conference or ISMTEC 2013 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition

Centre from January 17-20, 2013. The event drew more than 2,000 science teachers, educators as well as students eagerly participating in various activities including lectures, workshops and presentations with focus on the theme “Transforming Science, Mathematics and Technology Education”.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Deputy Minister of Education Mr.Sermsak Pongpanich with Dr. Montri Chulavatnatol, Chairman of the Governing Board and Dr. Pornpun Waitayangkoon, President of IPST leading the organizing committee to welcome the minister.
